Here's Johnny!

One of the problems I've had with this blog is the time lag between when I research a subject decide what the Library needs and when that item appears on the shelf. This can be several months. A good example is Contemporary Christian music. I ordered most of the top 40's Christian months ago and I just noticed that most of it's still on the shelf in the cataloging room. The same is true with the Latin music I ordered. Most of it is out but I saw some of the laggards still waiting to go out. This makes blogging about music difficult since I've moved on to Jazz and am beginning to look at Classical. So while I'm all excited about a Dizzy Gillespie-Charlie Parker album I found, it will be October before it gets ordered processed and put out on the shelf. I'm even farther ahead in DVD's. I think I've spent almost all my 2006 money so I have DVD orders waiting to be sent to the vendors that I prepared months ago. We don't use order slips here so I have several files sitting in the computer waiting to be released. Orders for western, Comedies, and top grossing movies from 2000 to the present are still sitting there and I've already forgotten why I ordered them. This makes blogging hard since I don't like writing about something that isn't out on the shelf yet. Oh Well. I'm not sure anyone's out there reading this anyway.
