Still Getting caught up

I'm finished ordering for the year so maybe I can get caught up on my blog postings now. My July DVD order was fairly targeted. It starts with filling in the works Richard Widmark, Robert Mitchum, and Chales Bronson. Richard Widmark especially had some excellent early noirs that many people may not know about. On a whim I also looked at Forest Whitaker and found seveal gems I missed before. I also revisited the films of Sophia Loren whose best films are for some reason seldom in in print. The largest piece of this order was best grossing films of 2006-2008. As anyone who has the patience to read my blog knows I don't want to compete with Blockbuster so I hang back on buying recent movies. I am sitting on pins and needles waiting for Lonely Are the Brave which I think is one of the great movies. It's been out of print for a long time and here it is in October and we still haven't recieved it and if you are a movie buff it's one you should really should see.
